BUYAhhh LOTR...I'm not a huge fan, I've read the books and seen the movies but I'm no LOTR freak by any means. However this game is pretty solid. A side story only briefly mentioned in the lore takes you on a quest occurring alongside Frodo Baggins and co.'s antics. With all that aside you've got a pretty deep hack n slash game here. The story's decent, the action frantic, and the orc blood splatters across the screen in all it's gory sensationalism. There isn't to much too this game, fight wave of monsters, progress story, repeat. But it's that kind of mindless fun that keeps it interesting. Some decent boss battles, and flaming crossbow shooting sequences to break up the monotony. Ton's of equipment, and ways to level up your character to keep you busy for quiet some time. A solid game especially for fans of the series or just fans of the genre. 4 stars.
