BUYWell, lets get to it shall we? I know there's a lot of people waiting on this one so here goes! *deep breath*. Simply put, this is the game you've been waiting for, the definitive Call of Duty experience. Coming from a Battlefield fan this next part is going to mean a lot...Battlefield 3, although an epic and beautiful experience in its own right, with the Frostbite 2 engine running it is simply gorgeous. However, unlike my previous thoughts before both released, BF3 is not, nor ever will be the Modern Warfare killer. Period. End of story. And I am a below average player when it comes to fps', I can hold my own in Halo, but that's about it. Now onto the good s**t!
So for the part no one cares about, the campaign. Honestly, I've enjoyed, for the most part the campaign in all the COD games, epic, explosive moments, the story has never been to deep. Remember its not Gears Of War, so the story is secondary, and the multi-player comes first. I urge you to play the campaign, I'm only about 10% through it, but it's had more edge of your seats moments in it, in the first 2 and a half chapters than the whole series combined. So check it out! Is it first priority? no, but it's still amazing.
Now for the good stuff. Multif**kingplayer. Only word that comes to mind is epic!! All the modes, perks. kill-streaks, and all that s**t! Now I do not yet have the elite stuff yet so I can't really comment on that, maybe I'll write a separate review for it, or add to this one. So, you have your typical standard modes. Demolition, Free for all, Team Death-match, Mercenary, Team defender, Sabotage, Headquarters pro, Search and destroy and all the rest. You've also got the hardcore modes as well, which again, I haven't unlocked because i blow :) But with all the new little improvements that they've made in this game, it is essentially an upgraded version of all the rest....more than upgraded...perfected to the T actually. With all this aside my person favorite addition to the game is called Kill Confirmed, this mode is exactly like team deathmatch except you pick up dog tags to confirm your kill or deny an opposing teammates kill on your team. It's fast, fun and frantic play will have you hooked on this mode forever. It's pure insanity!
With all that said, and quite possibly my longest review so far, get off your asses now and go play the fps of the year! It's that damned good. And like I said the only downfall of this game is the feeling of ok I've played this before, just now it's absolutely flawless. Don't think for a minute it's just another black ops, go spend the money...you know you wanna. I'm giving Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 a well deserved, earned, hit the nail on the head,
