Welcome to the third crusade, You are Dante a crusade general. He and his fellow soldiers were told by a priest that all there sins during the crusade would be unseen in God's eyes. [Yeah right now you know better than that]. Dante also before leaving his lovely wife to be Beatrice, promised he would stay faithful no matter how long the crusade lasted [ B. S]. While in charge of watching prisoners, Dante is stabbed in the back, and Death appears telling Dante he comes to take him and all his loved ones to hell for his sins. Dante could not stand the thought of his beloved Beatrice being punished for his wrong doings. Dante killed Death taking his scythe. Through his travels back home Dante stitches a cross with pictures of all of his sins to his torso. When he arrived he discovered his father and Beatrice murdered, As Dante mourned over his lovers body, her soul approached him asking for help. Before she could question his faithfulness a shadowy figure snatched her soul and took her to a near by church. Dante persued with hopes of saving Beatrice's soul, But was told by Lucifer himself if he wanted to see her again he would have to travel threw the 9 circles of hell.
Graphics: Each circle of Hell had its own look. Dante looks pretty bad a** as well and very detailed. Boss fights look epic considering there size and distinction.
Gameplay: If you played God Of War then this should come as second nature to you, if you haven't played GOW the learning curve is still simple to master. Boss fights are mildly repetitive but fun. Obstacles such as climbing from ledge to ledge are pretty straight forward.
Sound: Enter the depths of hell with killer background music, and the occasional moan from a tortured soul on the way. Voice overs are pretty decent considering the time line in which you play the game, Thee and thou are used often.
Egem-Mag Verdict 3 and half out of 5 stars
Dante's Inferno has a story to make you want to question your own sins and fate. But in my opinion the gameplay is nothing short of a God Of War copy, which is not a bad thing.
