Man, I got to say it, Nintendo looks to be creepin' up on a comeback!! The killer app for the 3ds is finally here, and its better than ever. If you think you couldn’t improve on a game of this caliber, you couldn’t be more wrong!
I'm thoroughly enjoying my re visitation to the kingdom of hyrule, it’s kind of like seeing an old friend, you’ve both changed, but things are still the same between you, but somehow better. The graphics in this game got a major overhaul, the colors really pop, and the edges of things aren’t as grainy as they were on the good ol' n64. The controls got a major pick-me-up as well. In the original you had to pause the game to switch weapons, armor, etc. this time however all of that is mapped to the 3ds's touch screen making the transition so much smoother.
All around the game just feels better, more fun, like it was meant for this system. It flows better, its prettier, and it doesn’t seem as frustrating, traveling the world and fighting your way through dungeons and boss battles. For newbs, its a great starting point to this legendary series, and for old school fans its an awesome trip down memory lane.
With the addition of the master quest (unlocked after completing the main game) there’s a ton of replay value here. In master quest the dungeons are reversed and the puzzles a bit harder to solve. No matter what genre of game you enjoy the most; this is an amazing game and an absolute classic. Don’t miss out on it. I give Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time for the 3ds a Godly 5 out of 5 bags!
