Computers store data using switches that are either on (1) or off (0). Each switch is called a bit. A group of eight bits is a byte. One byte is large enough to store a single letter of the alphabet.

QR CACHE - HARDWARE
This site is was created for the QR Cache research project at College of the North Atlantic-Qatar. This set of mobile resusable learning objects (RLOs) were created to augment the hardware components unit of the TPP MC-105: Introduction to Computers Course. Participants in the course accessed these RLOs by scanning Quick Response (QR) codes mounted on equipment throughout a computer laboratory.
