It is based, with only minor variations, on the Revised Common Lectionary Additional Lections from Common Service Book of the Lutheran Church, United Lutheran Church of America, General Rubrics VIII. Scripture lessons for Matins and Vespers, p. 299 - 304, Philadelphia, 1918.
