Distrust of the Media on a Cyber Monday.  How better to start off the week.

Sometime mid-morning the news came across social media of an "Active Shooter" situation on the campus of Ohio State University.  I fired up the Roku and sought out some network coverage of this event.

By the time I'd gotten to begin to gather some information for myself, the situation was ended and the mop up was beginning.  What was fascinating in the coverage from the local CBS affiliate was their plastering over the screen and discussion of the "Active Shooter."

And now six to seven hours later we find out that it's wasn't an "Active Shooter" incident, event at all.

An Ohio State University student plowed a car into a campus crowd, then jumped out and started stabbing people with a butcher knife before being shot dead by police Monday morning, officials said.

Will there be any outcry and pontification about how wrong the networks got this?  Will this repercussion be as forceful and passionate as  against the "Fake News" that supposedly surrounded the recent Presidential Election?   I for one won't be holding my breath.
