According to Google Maps, the University of Wisconsin-Madison is 324 miles from me, an approximate five and a half hour drive from here in Northern Wisconsin.  Had I known that Ben Shapiro was slated to speak on campus  last night I might have gone to see the spectacle.

It would appear that those attending the event and I presume who are students of the University, are unfamiliar with the Constitutional guarantee of Free Speech.  Seeing as the University is state funded, these are your and our tax dollars at work.  Or in this case, not being used effectively.  Let's not put all of the blame on the University.  These students have come from far and wide to this institution of higher learning having been shorted on their previous education.

Bravo to Ben for his willingness to wade into the fray and let these spineless, perpetually aggrieved and ever offended students know just how sad and misinformed their position is.

The reported 20 protesters, including some children,  shouted worn and hackneyed talking points to disrupt the event.  It's great to see just how tolerant and open to the free exchange of ideas those on the UW-Madison campus really are.
